Difficult
to imagine how people lived many years ago without electricity, existing now almost
everywhere.
Although
electricity is almost available everywhere in the world, we in fact did not
learn how to fully benefit from it. Because, in addition to lighting cities, it
is possible to treat patients.
In the past
years, the scientists who were researching in the field of electricity, were
not recognized for a long time, and they were called "electricians" in
a mocking way. This was not a reference to the area of their research only,
but also means being separated from other sciences, which did not recognize the
importance of electricity as a phenomenon.
Unlike our
ancestors, we now admit the benefits of electricity and we use it every day of
our lives. But unfortunately we still today attached to walls, because of electricity plugs. Is it
conceivable that in the era of cell phones and wireless networks, the case
remains as it is? This failure is clearly visible.
So
scientists have begun in several countries testing a new technology for the
transfer of electrical energy wirelessly, ie without wires, using a laser to
send waves that would be transformed into electrical energy. If those
experiments will have the success, we will no longer need any kind of wires.
Everyone
knows that before the discovery of electricity, people slept at least 10 hours
per day, while we sleep now 7-8 hours. Which means it gave each of us six years
of extra wakefulness. But note that in spite of the many discoveries, the shape
of lamps have remained similar to the "pear".
Finally, it
figures out that, in addition to the lighting of cities, electricity can help (when
used properly) to restore the movement of paralyzed patients. If you can
remember we have seen this application, in the opening ceremony of World Cup managed
by Brazil. The first kick was realized by
Juliano pinto a Brazilian man who is paralyzed from the waist down.
